Error in Chapter 9 - Activity 1?

A message came in from one f the cold site field tester who pointed out that when you do the first part of actgivity 1 in chapter 9, there is no specific direction to place the second piece of "magic tape" directly on top of the first one. You may want to point this out if your students become confused.

George,
I am "stuck"! It does give directions to put one piece on top of the other but questions one and two look like the same procedure. tTe answer guide says in number one they should attract and in number two using the same procedure they should repel. What is the procedure for making them have the same charge? I guess I could put them both on the table pull them up and they would repel. Maybe I will just skip number two and do part three to get a charge that will be attracted to the top tape and repeled by the bottom tape. I am using the new books you sent for this info.
I am mailing my info on electricity tomorrow and I hope the materials will be shipped soon. Fortunately the first few activities do not require alot of materials.
