In a similar activity to Sandy's I had the students use PALM pipes.  They are PVC tubes cut to various lengths to produce a specific pitch and when the student taps them a thier palm it produces the note.  My kids loved playing the simple songs so much that they begged me to go christmas caroling to other rooms before break.  It was a ton of fun.  If anyone is interested I will measure the lengths of the tubes and post the info. again.  (I don't have them available right now while I'm posting)

Danielle,
Hey I have finished the light and sound activity but would love to have the measurements for the PVC pipe for the future.
Thanks Milly

I would also like the measurements for the pipes.  Also the music if you have it.
