Folks,
 
WARNING: the text on page 349 includes a typo about the length of the string equalling 1/2M (FYTD #5, #9).  The book means to say that the length of the string equals 1/2 the wavelength for the standing wave.

Also, you will need to add pencils in the FYTD section from 1-9, if you rely on this indicator for students.

WARNING there are some formula errors in the FYTR on pages 350 and 351.
The equation, frequency  = speed/wavelength is written incorrectly as frequency = speed *wavelength

Please warn your students before you assign this reading or go through it in class!!!

You are righ Scott.  We caught that also.
In activity 5: Shadows, some drawings are missing.  Are those drawings supposed to represent
the puppet moved closer to source, and then closer to screen?

Thanks to everyone for catching these typographical errors.  The original manuscript was correct in all places, but apparently there was confusion in translation of symbols during the typesetting.  Please keep an eye out for such errors in other places and post notes as you find them.
