some of my students were not quite sure about as what is paul vault l think it needs a little demo before we start WDOT

We don't have a track team. That caused problems for them. They had no idea how long the pole is that pole vaulters use or where they hold it. I'm not really fluent in this area, either. That led to difficulties answering WDYT. They still came up with some good ideas: too much bend in the pole, couldn't get a good angle, too much force needed to carry the pole that couldn't be transferred into the vault.
