Advance Preparation
and Setup
A pair of (nearly) matched bocci balls is
recommended for each group. Contacting bocci
establishments in your area perhaps will result in
donations of balls, and putting out a call to your
school community—parents, faculty, etc.—also
should be productive. If you simply cannot obtain
bocci balls, hard balls, such as croquet balls, could be substituted.
You will also need a soccer ball, a golf ball, and a
tennis ball for each group. You may be able to borrow
the balls from your school’s athletic department

My students loved this activity!  I showed the sportsfigures video with jeff gordon and u.  it was great!  I also had pieces of old carpet and it helped to show a different texture as well as different shoes.  A group of my more aspiring students got the priveledge of going outsite and trying it on the grass verses sidewalk verses asphalt.  They then explained to the class what they had done and their results.. GO TEAM!

being this far inland i really miss the fresh seafood.. alas  (following john's lead in reminiscing)
