We have provided opportunities below to comment on the What Do You Think or the For You to Do or the Physics Talk.  If that level of organization is not suitable for you for comments, then please use this thread.  Do you have any general suggestions/questions/comments that you would like to make about this Activity?

Excellent.  There appears to be only a few posts on Activity 5.

When we did this activity, I taped the actual ticker tapes to the white board and we counted the 1/10s of a second to get the trajectory that would result from a projected object. I found this was more manageable than the string and weights and whatnot. the students got the point and we were able to complete and move on to activity 6.

My room doesn't have a chalkboard or a white board or an expanse of wall. So, I modified this by making 2 trajectory models: half an arc & the whole parabola. Two students stood on the lab counter at the front of the room & held the model. I had all the students try to match the arc. It took a little longer but they really enjoyed it. Several said " This is the first time a teacher has TOLD me to throw something in class!" Grin Now, if they can just get the mini-challenge..... Shocked
