We have provided opportunities below to comment on the What Do You Think or the For You to Do or the Physics Talk.  If that level of organization is not suitable for you for comments, then please use this thread.  Do you have any general suggestions/questions/comments that you would like to make about this Activity?

Does the title reflect the activity?  I had jump data but not run.  Maybe I didn't get through all of the FYTD.

A really good suggestion taken from another activity in the communications book is to use different spring scales and having students pair up to see when one pulls and the other does not that they are the same.  (equal but opposite).  I found the visual of having different sized spring scales to work the best since they love to pull to the end.

Kathy, I agree, the activity generally deals with teaching someone to jump, not run.  When I did my first post, I got Activity 5 mixed up with Activity 6

Not only that, but the cartoon shows a small jump with a long range shot.  Most fans consider hang time when viewing a slam dunk.
Did you mean the cartoon at the beginning of Activity 1.  The Picture for Activity 6, shows the skateboarder pushing against the wall.

A skateboard jump requires horizontal velocity in order to get the vertical lift.
